Parental Note:
*Parents are not allowed in the sedation or IV treatment rooms during dental procedures that require sedation options such as nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, or deep sedation (IV sedation). These sedation options are administered by trained pediatric dental specialists and their qualified and experienced staff, in a controlled environment that ensures the safety and comfort of the child. This allows the dental team to closely monitor the sedation levels and provide the necessary care without any distractions, which is why parents are not permitted in the sedation or IV treatment rooms.
As trained pediatric dental specialists, we are able to offer a variety of sedation options, personalized for each child and their particular needs. The following is a brief summary of each of these options:
This type of sedation utilizes nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas).
This is typically administered as an oral medication which, after taking affect, provides sedation without the patient losing consciousness.
This is performed in office by our qualified and experienced Certified Nurse Anesthetist, alongside our specialty trained doctors and staff. .
This is performed in an outpatient facility or hospital. Similar level of sedations as having tonsils removed.
